“Succulents” my new fave!

I have seen succelents used in many different arrangements through the years and always loved them, but never gave it much thought until a bride came to me wanting them used throughout her wedding. I first had to refresh my memory with what they were and I googled some pictures and instantly fell in love with them all over again! I love the texture and look of them. They add instant flair to anything. Of course, I love anything that is different and stands out among the norm, but I think this idea could really catch on. Take a look at these fabulous pictures!

3/20/10 Alexis Page

I had the joy of doing Alexis’ wedding in March at Crieve Hall Church of Christ. She was just a lovely bride and I am so grateful that I was able to work with her. We met for the first time in February. There was not much time to plan and get things in order but we made it happen. When we met, she gave me a Martha Stewart picture of an absolutely fabulous cascade bouquet. It was full of garden type flowers and it looked so lush and just picked! I fell in love with this picture and I knew I had to give her this look in a bouquet. I had never made a cascade bouquet before, but I think it turned out gorgeous! It was full of lady’s mantle, pink and purple sweet pea, and purple lisianthus. I can’t wait to make another one of these bouquets!! I was so pleased to see that their photographer was a childhood friend of mine, Courtney Helton. She did a wonderful job on these photographs and captured the day beautifully!

Matt and Regina 4/17/2010

Matt and Regina were married on April 17 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Franklin with a reception at Arial on 2nd Avenue Downtown.  I had met Regina back in 2009 to talk about her wedding. She was very organized and ready to start planning her wedding:) What a sweet bride! I love working with those!! She was wanting an array of bright, bold colors. She loved bright pink and red. At first I wasn’t sure of this color choice but it turned out amazing. What a fun color scheme. This couple had lots of spunk and it shows through their awesome photos. Matt Andrews did an amazing job Photographing this wedding and he has been a pleasure to work with! Check out the amazing photos!

Jason and Courtney 9/19/09

I can’t believe I am just now getting these pictures on here from this wedding! This particular wedding was really fun because I knew the bride a groom personally from church. This actually made me much more nervous:) The bride, Courtney, had a particular dream and concept when it came to her wedding and she more than achieved her goals. She went with a black and white damask theme and she brought that theme into every aspect of her wedding. She was very classy with her style with many touches of glitz and glam. I had alot of fun doing her flowers!! I got to work with feathers for the first time! Which I have to say made the bridemaid bouquets stunning! The photographer of this wedding was Valeisha from Visions Photography. Her work on this wedding was stunning and she truly captured the moment. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Warren and Jennifer Adler

What can I say about this wedding? This couple had a wonderful style and idea for their wedding and they were able to pull it off wonderfully! The colors and textures to their wedding was gorgeous. I loved the yellow and peach tones accented with a silvery gray! So fun and unique!

Jennifer had been collecting vintage milk glass containers for over a year to use throughout her wedding. I can not tell you how great that idea was. No piece was exactly alike which made the wedding have such a unique flair. She definitely wanted a “Martha Stewart” type of wedding and I have to say she achieved it. I can not believe I am just now getting these pictures on! Congrats Warren and Jennifer!

Lindsey Hudson May 29th 2009

Funky, funky, funky is all I have to say about this bride! She was so much fun to work for. She had so much spunk and personality! Her colors were black and white with a hint of green. She wanted to have alot of character to her designs and I hope I was able to capture that for her.

Her bouquet was made of green pom-pom mums and green spider mums that I gave a little bit of a hair cut to. Then coming out from those flowers I have green cymbidium orchids. Gorgeous! She wanted the bridemaids bouquets to be very simple with white hydrangea. The best part of all was her great ribbon that she sent to me to use. Her bouquet had zebra print and the girls was between stripes or polka dots. Her wedding was so much fun to plan and execute!

Out of the Country…

I have not been writing because my husband and I were in Thailand for almost two weeks. We had the most amazing time and got to experience things that most people never get to. We have some amazing stories and photos to share. In the next couple of weeks I will do a more in depth blog on our travels and share the pictures we took. Thanks for being patient with my delayed blogging!

Jenny and Tim’s Wedding

I was contacted by wedding planner, Kristin Carolan, about Jenny and Tim’s Wedding in January. We had an introductory meeting and it seemed like both of us were on the same page. Not only were all of her ideas exactly what I would do in my own wedding, they also got married at Owen’s Chapel in Brentwood where my husband I got married. It was so special to be able to do a wedding back in the same chapel you said your own vows in.

It was so easy to design her wedding because it was exactly my taste. She was such a gracious easy going bride and a pleasure to work with. She was just so excited about being able to be married to her best friend. Evan Baines was the photographer and he did a wonderful job and was nice enought to send me a couple of pictures.
